Ovington

The amazing birth of handblown glass objects, known since the first century, are a perfect subject for Revised to work with. We decided to collaborate with an Italian glass blower close to Venice. Sand, lime and soda is heated in hot ovens (1130° Celsius) to create molten glass. The finished shape of the glass is defined by the mould into which the molten glass is skillfully blown. The Ovington lamps with their beautiful curves are one of a kind. The different sizes of shades fit perfectly over the body, creating a glass sculpture which will exist for generations.
